For as long as I can remember I’ve had no shortage of creative projects. From shooting action movies with my friends in the backyard, to making a website for a family-friends business–  if there’s an opportunity to create something and pick up a new skill along the way– I’m there.

 

As a creative with a hearty dash of technical skills and a minor obsession with technology I was naturally drawn to the field of UX Design while attending Michigan State University. I loved using both the analytical and imaginative parts of the brain to come up with solutions that were practical and elegant. I also threw in a minor in Computer Science just to make sure that imagination side of things didn’t fly too far off the rails.

 

After graduation I found work doing freelance web design for local businesses in my hometown. Because of a growing need and my inability to turn down a creative challenge I also found myself creating photo and video content for these clients. I quickly built up a portfolio and ended up across the country working full time as a visual content creator for an advertising agency. It was there I discovered a passion for animation and now I am working full-time as a Motion Designer.

 

My Ideal Role would combine the animation and editing skills I learned as a content creator with the user centered design principles and technology focus of UX Design.
